Bangladesh Internet Week is the biggest internet fest in Bangladesh, taking place from 5-11th September, 2015 all throughout Bangladesh. Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) hosted the tech event at its new state-of-the-art auditorium.
The guest panel includes: Prof. M Omar Rahman (Vice Chancellor, IUB), Mr. Shameem Ahsan (President, BASIS), Mr. Russell T. Ahmed (Senior Vice President, BASIS), Samira Zuberi Himika (IUB Alumn, Director – BASIS and Founder and Managing Director of Team Engine), Dr. Farruk Ahmed (Professor, Dept. of CSE, IUB), Mostofa Sarwar Farooki (Bangladeshi film director, screenwriter and film producer), Hashmi Rafsanjani (IUB Alumni and Country Marketing Consultant, Bangladesh, Google) and S.M. Ashraful Islam (Executive Director, Bangladesh Computer Council).
The honorable guests shared their stories of struggle, their dreams and their achievements to the students’ present there. Their inspiring stories with interactive question-answer sessions made the event a very successful one. The event was jointly organized by IUB Chapter (BASIS Student Forum), ICT Division Bangladesh and Grameenphone.
