A competitive programming event, entitled “Intra-IUB Programming Contest, Summer-2015”, was held on 4th of July, 2015. The event was jointly organized by Dept. of Computer Science & Engineering and JUKTI, the students' club of dept. of CSE. A total of 24 teams from two departments, dept. of CSE and dept. of EEE took part, 19 teams were of 3 members and 5 teams were of 2 members.
Teams were given 13 problems to solve within 5 hours in the final round of the contest. Team named "The Normal People", comprised of Imran Hossain Shoikoth, Kazi Shadab Anwar and Md. Shaon Rahman from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, became the eventual winner of the contest. 
The closing ceremony was conducted by Mr. Ahammed Ullah, Junior Lecturer, Department of CSE and coordinator of the event and was attended by Dr. Ali ShihabSabbir, Dean, School of Engineering and Computer Science. 
This event is a part of the chain of activities of a programming training camp, started from March 2015 at IUB. Goal of this campaign is to improve students’ problem solving skills in order to make sure their successful participation in various competitive programming events including ACM-ICPC regional. This camp is being supervised by Dr. Ali Shihab Sabbir, Dean, School of Engineering and Computer Science and Dr. Mahady Hasan, Head, Department of Computer Science and Engineering. The sessions of the training camp are conducted by Mr. Nahiyan Kamal, (CSE, BUET) and coordinated by Mr. Ahammed Ullah, Junior Lecturer, Department of CSE.
