Dr. Tarem Ahmed graduated Summa Cum Laude from Middlebury College, USA with a double major in Physics and Economics.  Subsequently, he obtained a Master’s in Electrical Engineering from the Ivy League University of Pennsylvania, USA, and a Doctorate in Computer Science from the International Islamic University Malaysia, Malaysia.  All of Dr. Ahmed's degrees were funded by the respective institution's scholarships.
 
During various stages in his career, Dr. Ahmed has worked in industrial product development in the Silicon Valley area of California, USA, and in academic research at McGill University, Canada and ETH Zurich, Switzerland, before returning to his native city of Dhaka, Bangladesh.  He has presented in research workshops at various international universities such as the University of Naples Federico II, Italy and École Normale Supérieure (ENS), France, and served as an Erasmus+ Visiting Scholar at Middle East Technical University, Turkey.
